Mount Kenya Routes

Mount Kenya can be summited either by trekking or by a technical climb. The method you use to reach the summit is dependent on which peak you want to reach.

There are three main peaks to mount kenya and eight main routes the reach them. Twin peaks Batian (5199m) and Nelion (5188m), the two highest of Mount Kenya, are reached by technical climbs of grade IV standard. Their base camps can be reached by a trek. The third highest peak, Point Lenana (4985m), can also be reached on a trek.

A walkable Peak Circuit Path connects most of the popular ascent and descent routes. At 10km in length and over 2000m in altitude changes, the circuit can be trekked in one to three days.
